Rocky Point Medical Clinic is looking for a temporary Medical Office Assistant to cover a maternity leave. We are looking for a compassionate, organized and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a quick-paced medical office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Greeting patients, answering phones, updating patient demographics and scheduling appointments
Escorting patients to the examination rooms and tidying up rooms
Preparing rooms for various examinations including biopsies, pap tests, ear syringe, and more
Scanning, faxing, and linking documents
Managing office emails and messages from physicians
Emailing patients lab requisitions, sick notes etc

Qualifications:
A team player capable of interacting professionally with staff and physicians
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion




Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a rapid-paced clinic workplace
Completion of a Medical Office Assistant Certificate is an asset but not required with relevant experience
Experience with OSCAR EMR is preferred

Hourly salary: $19.00 to $23.00/hour

Start date: ASAP
