CWB Welder / Commercial Iron Worker

About the Position

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking CWB Welder / Commercial Iron Worker to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced tradesperson or an apprentice looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career in the welding and structural steel industry.

The successful candidate will take pride in quality workmanship, work safely as part of a team, and be comfortable working with structural steel and commercial iron work.

Key Responsibilities
Perform welding and fabrication of structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and weld steel components.
Perform commercial iron work and assist with steel erection and installation as required.
Use welding equipment, cutting tools, grinders, and other shop tools safely.
Inspect work to ensure it meets quality and project specifications.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area.
Work effectively with other welders, iron workers, apprentices, and project personnel.

Qualifications




CWB certification is an asset; candidates with relevant welding experience are encouraged to apply.
Commercial iron work or structural steel experience is an asset.
Ability to read and understand drawings is preferred.
Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
Commitment to protected work practices.

Pay: $26.05-$48.16 per hour
