Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Line Cook to join our team at the University of Winnipeg. The ideal candidate has solid kitchen skills, works well in a quick-paced workplace, and is passionate about food and teamwork. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of menu items, following health and safety protocols, and supporting an inclusive kitchen culture.

Duties
Prepare and cook meals to Diversity’s quality standards and portion guidelines
Follow recipes and food preparation procedures
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
Assist with prep and special events as needed

Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years kitchen experience preferred (but we’re willing to train the right candidate)
Knowledge of safe food handling procedures (Food Handler Certification is an asset)




Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to take direction and work well under pressure
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Availability for versatile shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
