Glazing & Cladding EstimatorJob

We are seeking an experienced Glazing & Cladding Estimator to prepare takeoffs, pricing and bid submissions for commercial construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating glazing and/or cladding projects. Experience in both areas is an asset, but candidates with robust estimating experience in either glazing or cladding are encouraged to apply.

We are looking for a highly experienced estimator who can independently review drawings and specifications, identify complete project scope, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, obtain supplier pricing and prepare accurate, competitive estimates for tender submission.

Responsibilities
Review architectural drawings, specifications, addenda and tender documents
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for glazing and/or cladding scopes
Prepare material, labour, equipment and installation cost estimates
Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
Prepare complete bid pricing and quotations for tender submissions
Identify scope requirements, exclusions, alternates and discrepancies in tender documents
Track drawing revisions, addenda and changes throughout the bidding process




Maintain organized estimating files, supplier pricing and historical cost information
Review pricing and bid strategy prior to submission
Assist with handover of successful estimates to the project team

Requirements
Robust previous estimating experience in glazing and/or cladding
Ability to independently read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, details and specifications
Proven experience performing detailed material and labour takeoffs
Strong understanding of commercial construction tendering and bid submissions
Ability to identify missing scope, drawing conflicts and potential cost risks
Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier pricing
Experience with Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, PlanSwift or similar estimating and takeoff software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple bids and meet tender deadlines
Valuable written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $50,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
