Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Contract Position - Cook for Childcare to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks tailored to young children’s dietary needs, ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Your energetic approach will help create a positive mealtime experience that supports our children’s health and development.

Responsibilities
Prepare and serve healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
Follow food handling procedures to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination
Assist in meal planning and food preparation to ensure variety and nutritional balance
Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage, and usage
Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations




Support the implementation of food safety protocols during all stages of food service
Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs or allergies

Requirements
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques suitable for young children
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Robust understanding of meal preparation and serving practices within the food industry
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
Certification in food safety or related training is an asset
