We're a growing orthodontic practice looking for a warm, capable Certified Dental Assistant with Orthodontic Module to join our clinical team. Dr. Andrew Tsai travels between his main practice on Main Street in Vancouver and partner dental offices in Richmond and Burnaby, and this role travels with him. Ideally, the job is hiring for full time but part time scheduling is available based on the right candidate.

What you'll do

Chairside and clinical:
Assist Dr. Tsai through bonding, debonding, adjustments, and appliance delivery
Place and remove orthodontic appliances and components within your module scope
Take diagnostic records: intraoral and extraoral photos, digital scans, and radiographs
Fabricate and fit retainers and appliances, and manage lab case flow and tracking
Set up and turn over operatories, and maintain sterilization and infection control to BCCOHP standards
Monitor inventory and reorder clinical supplies across locations
Support recent patient exams and observation appointments, and help patients and parents understand what comes next
Coach patients on hygiene, elastics, aligner wear, and appliance care

Team and practice support:




Work closely with our front desk and treatment coordinator so patients move smoothly from consult to start
Help keep clinical notes and patient records accurate and current
Pitch in on refining protocols and training materials as we grow

What we're looking for
Certified Dental Assistant with minimum one year experience.
Orthodontic Module strongly preferred currently enrolled, or ready to complete it with our support
Willing and able to travel between our Vancouver, Richmond, and Burnaby locations is a bonus.
Mandarin or Cantonese strongly preferred
Available to work Saturdays
A warm, steady manner with kids, teens, and parents
Solid organization and attention to detail Comfort adapting as things change in a growing practice
Prior orthodontic experience is a bonus, not a requirement

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
