Our client is a boutique litigation firm trusted by leading Canadian financial institutions. Their team handles disputes ranging from debt recovery and enforcement to commercial insolvency, mortgage remedies, forged instruments, fraud recovery, and priority disputes. They're builders — tight-knit, pragmatic, and obsessed with client outcomes.

The Role

Matters include recovery actions (secured/unsecured), mortgage enforcement & power of sale, receiverships and CCAA/BIA issues, fraudulent conveyances, and negotiable instruments/forgery claims.

This position is 100% in-person.

What You'll Do
Manage files end-to-end: strategy, pleadings, motions, discoveries, mediations, trials/appeals
Draft and argue motions (including summary judgment, security/priority relief, injunctions)
Advise institutional clients on risk, recovery strategy, and cost-effective resolution
Work closely with the firm's partners and associates




Mentor juniors/staff and contribute to playbooks and client updates

What You Bring
At least 5 years of commercial litigation experience in Canada (commercial, banking/insolvency, or civil)
Comfortable in court; solid written advocacy and drafting
Proven file management and client communication skills
Asset: experience with BIA/CCAA, fraud/forgery, PPSA/priority issues, mortgage enforcement
Licensed and in positive standing with the Law Society of Ontario

Compensation Starting at $150,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
