We're working with an Island-based garage and commercial overhead door specialist to recruit an Overhead Door Technician. The successful candidate will install recent door systems and provide maintenance on existing systems. This is a full time contract position expected to convert to permanent employment based on performance and attendance.

THE JOB
Install overhead sectional and rolling steel door systems and components
Perform service calls to diagnose and repair existing systems, replacing or adjusting components
Use a variety of power tools including drills, skillsaws, and grinders
Follow all workplace safety policies and production procedures

WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY
$20.00 - $25.00/hour + 4% vacation pay based on experience
Temp-to-perm opportunity based on performance
Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with additional shifts available

REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs




Previous experience as an overhead door technician or similar hands-on mecahnical work
Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
Experience with most basic power tools
CSA-approved steel-toed boots
Fall arrest & elevated work platform certifications an asset
