Job Summary
The Shop Labourer supports the production and assembly of wooden survey lath by performing various tasks such as material handling, machine operation, and maintaining a clean and organized work workplace. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. In addition to lath production, the Shop Labourer supports with building, equipment, and fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities
Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
Transport materials to and from storage areas, machines, and workstations manually and with a compact tracked loader.
Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of woodworking machines and tools.
Monitor machinery during operation to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to supervisors.
Assist in the assembly, painting, and wrapping of survey lath.
Inspect materials and finished product for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
Report any discrepancies or defects to direct manager.




Maintain inventory and notify direct manager if supplies are needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, dusting, and waste disposal.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment as directed.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a protected working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
