Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting, particularly within a retail pharmacy setting.

Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventory.
Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Answer patient inquiries regarding medications and health products, ensuring excellent customer service.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy area, adhering to safety protocols.
Stay updated on pharmaceutical regulations and best practices to enhance service delivery.
Perform customer service duties such as cash register and answering phone calls with courtesy and respect.

Requirements




Previous experience in pharmacy is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations is essential.
Solid communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with medication administration processes is an advantage.
High attention to detail and organizational skills are required for maintaining accurate records.
