Part time Dog Daycare Attendant – Small Paws Club

We’re looking for a reliable part-time team member to join our Small Paws Club daycare.

This role is focused specifically on the care and supervision of small dogs in a structured daycare environment.

What we’re looking for:
Comfortable and confident working with groups of dogs
Able to read basic dog body language and recognize when a dog needs space or a break
Reliable and consistent with availability
Comfortable with cleaning, feeding, enrichment activities and general daycare duties
Calm, attentive and able to follow established routines and safety procedures
Taking daycare dogs out for neighbourhood walks
Previous professional dog-care experience is preferred

We’re primarily looking for someone who can provide consistent weekday coverage, including Wednesdays.

This is a part-time position with the potential for additional shifts when available.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week

Do you have skilled experience working with dogs in daycare, boarding, walking, training, grooming, veterinary care or a similar setting?
Are you comfortable supervising a group of small dogs and learning to recognize signs of stress, over-arousal and inappropriate play?
Dog daycare involves a lot of cleaning, including urine, feces, vomit, dishes, laundry, floors and play areas. Are you comfortable completing these tasks throughout your shift?
Our shifts can start as early as 6:45 AM and finish as late as 6:45 PM. Are you able to reliably get to work for your scheduled shifts?
Happy Tails uses positive-reinforcement, force-free handling. Are you comfortable working without e-collars, prong collars, physical corrections or other aversive handling methods?
