CNC Programmer/Operator – 5-Axis Router Cynergy Composites – Strathroy, ON

Job Overview

Cynergy Composites is an advanced carbon fiber manufacturing shop in Strathroy, Ontario. We're a small team that values the quality of our craftsmanship and takes pride in the parts we make.

We're hiring a detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Operator to program and operate our Thermwood 5-axis router for machining 3D wooden patterns. You'll be supplied with finished CAD files and expected to use them to produce accurate patterns. We're constantly creating a wide variety of unique parts and patterns, so no two weeks look the same.

Duties
Program toolpaths from finished CAD files using MasterCam or similar CAM software
Set up and operate the Thermwood 5-axis router
Machine 3D wooden patterns to accurate dimensions
Inspect and verify finished patterns against CAD models




Design and generate stocks and fixtures for larger patterns as needed
Maintain the machine work area and perform routine machine upkeep

Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience programming toolpaths in MasterCam or similar CAM software (required)
Experience operating CNC routers or machining centres; 5-axis experience an asset
SolidWorks or other general CAD experience an asset
Solid attention to detail and dimensional accuracy
Problem-solving mindset and willingness to expand your existing skillset
Able to work independently and manage machining jobs start to finish
