Duties
Reduce barriers to youth accessing necessary mental health and ancillary services
Serve youth under the jurisdiction of the Youth Justice Court
Provide community-based services that are time-limited and support referral to other services where the young person’s needs go beyond a youth justice sentence
Provide services that are clinically focused, individualized, based on assessed needs, and evidence-based
Adhere to the Policy and Procedures Manual of the agency, Ministry and program standards
Present as an appropriate role model to staff and clients
Represent the organization professionally at all times in the community and in court settings
Participate in continual career development by engaging in skill training activities, workshops, and conferences
To liaise with social agencies, families, and other persons or organizations as required
To demonstrate knowledge of various community agency resources and how to provide linkages




To perform any other relevant tasks/projects as informed by the Manager of Youth Justice & Specialized Education, or the Executive Director

Qualifications:
Preference will be given to a person with a social sciences background at the university level, such as Social Work, Criminology, Psychology, or a similar program.
Demonstrated fluency in English and French is considered an asset
Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience in the field of Youth Justice preferred.
Understanding of at-risk and high-risk youth is necessary.
Bilingualism would be considered an asset
Demonstrated experience across the sectors of youth justice, child welfare, and education
Police Record Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screening is required. NVCI, CPR, First Aid Certificate, immunization record, medical and a valid Ontario Class "G" driver’s license and a Clean Driver’s Abstract are required

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
