ROLESurerus is looking to hire a Labourer to support operations over the summer in our Fort St John location. You'll be responsible for general support on a variety of tasks within the Fort St John Shop and Yard.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESComply with Surerus Safety practices and proceduresLoad and unload materials, tools, and equipmentAssist tradespeople and machine operators as neededPerform various general labour activities, such as:Housekeeping in and around the shop and yardClean up of garbage and debris as requiredManual material handlingOperator lawn mowers and whipper snippersOperate hand and power toolsNote: In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company.POSITION REQUIREMENTSQualificationsHigh School diploma completed,



or in progressEligible to work in CanadaBetween ages of 17 and 24Reliable transportation to and from workExperiencePrevious experience in general labour within an equipment repair facility is an asset.Skills & KnowledgeSelf-starter, with problem solving skills and adaptability.Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and perform physically demanding tasksAbility to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a teamSafety conscious and aware of job site protocolsPunctual with a robust work ethicExcellent communication skillsWORKING CONDITIONSThis position is based in our Fort St John shop and yard. Must be able to work 8 – 10 hour days, 5 days a week.Successful completion of a Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol test is required as a condition of employment.
