Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure productive food preparation and service delivery
Prepare authentic Jamaican dishes with attention to detail, flavor, and presentation
Manage food handling procedures to comply with safety and sanitation standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies
Train staff on cooking techniques, food safety protocols, and customer service expectations
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food quality throughout the kitchen
Support restaurant management in coordinating service flow, bartending, and serving when needed
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
Extensive food preparation and cooking skills specific to Jamaican cuisine or similar culinary styles
Strong team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff and foster collaboration
Previous restaurant management experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of food handling safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and develop team members
Experience with hospitality operations including bartending and serving is a plus
