Sardis Animal Hospital is looking for an Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

We’re looking for someone who is confident in a veterinary hospital setting, enjoys working with both pets and their people, and can jump in to support our DVMs and RVTs while helping keep the day running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, comfortable around animals, and enjoys working as part of a team. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, takes pride in their work, and provides excellent care to our patients and clients.

Responsibilities include:
Assisting veterinarians and RVTs with appointments and procedures
Handling and restraining dogs and cats
Preparing exam rooms and equipment
Clean and maintain treatment and surgical areas
Help with surgical and dental procedures as needed
Caring for hospitalized patients
Helping with general day-to-day tasks to keep the hospital running smoothly
Providing compassionate care to our patients




Communicating with clients in a friendly and professional manner

We’re looking for someone who:
Has graduated from a Veterinary Assistant program
Comfortable handling dogs and cats
Works well in a busy environment
Reliable, organized, and willing to learn
Takes pride in providing excellent patient and client care
Someone who genuinely cares about patient wellbeing and enjoys being part of a team
