Job Summary

Duties
Assist with the installation and assembly of piping systems using hand tools and power tools
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide pipe fitting tasks
Support welding activities including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and basic welding techniques under supervision
Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and basic math skills to ensure accurate pipe cuts and fittings
Participate in rigging operations to lift and position pipes safely during installation or maintenance projects
Help with routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of piping systems and mechanical components




Gain exposure to HVAC systems, plumbing, schematics, and manufacturing processes relevant to pipe fitting

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in mechanics or construction is a plus
Demonstrated interest in welding (MIG/TIG), HVAC, plumbing or related fields
Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and the use of hand tools
Ability to read simple blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings
Strong attention to detail with valuable hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Willingness to learn current skills such as welding techniques, rigging procedures, and blueprint reading
Basic math skills including measurements and calculations necessary for pipe fitting tasks
