PATHFINDER FREIGHTLINES INC is a full-service trailer and truck repair and maintenance company serving the Dartmouth, NS area. We are looking for a qualified Trailer Mechanic to maintain and repair trailers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing vehicles as well as negotiating with clients.

Responsibilities
Inspect vehicles to determine mechanical problems and repair or replace them
Inspect equipment to determine if it needs to be repaired or replaced
Repair or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic components of vehicles including tires, brakes, steering, suspension etc.
Clean and organize vehicles to facilitate repairs
Maintain equipment in good condition so that repairs can be made
Keep logs on repairs and ensure all information is accurate on the vehicle repair report




Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
Perform routine maintenance activities (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.)and keep vehicles clean ( wash & wax trailer )

Skills
Proven experience as trailer mechanic or similar role
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems of vehicles a plus but not required
Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
Ability to handle physical workload including lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, stretching etc. and work in awkward positions for long periods of time ( as needed ) .

Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
