Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Para Educator Certificate desired
Relevant training and experience
Course work in behavior management
Demonstrable computer/technology skills
Valid driver's license and clean driver abstract
Responsibilities May Include
- Supporting
students academically, socially, and behaviorally
Assisting
with communication and speech-language activities
Supporting
individualized student programming
Supervising and accompanying students during field trips or off-site work/recreational experiences.
- Assisting
with supervision and daily routines
Assisting with library support duties,
including acquisitions, cataloguing, assisting students and staff, book fairs, etc.
- Supporting
student safety, personal care, and mobility needs as required
Salary: According to the Collective Agreement
