The client is seeking a Junior Accountant to support a growing finance team in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Key responsibilities include:Manage and enter all incoming invoices (50+ per week) across multiple projects in accounting software (Sage 300 and QuickBooks Pro)Code invoices using a detailed job cost code structureVerify approvals on invoices and cheque requestsPrepare and process cheques for multiple companiesUpdate and maintain vendor database; serve as primary contact for vendorsCommunicate with vendors regarding invoice issues and with project managers regarding coding questionsEnter project commitments and change orders; prepare associated formsAudit and verify expense reports; reconcile vendor statementsProcess rush items and maintain a schedule for time-sensitive tasksMaintain accounts payable and accounts receivable filesPerform banking duties,



including deposits and paymentsPrepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple companiesPrepare monthly/quarterly GST returns and related journal entriesPrepare sales journal entries and verify customer compliance depositsSupport special projects as assignedWhat You BringMinimum 1 year of experience in a corporate environmentA Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or a related fieldWorking toward a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designationStrong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a rapid-paced settingProfessional discretion in handling confidential informationExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency with MS Word and Excel; experience with QuickBooks and Sage 300 preferredExperience in real estate development accounting is a plusStrong initiative and ability to work effectively as part of a teamAbout YouDetail-oriented and accuracy-drivenAnalytical thinker who can identify trends and issuesStrong communicator, able to collaborate across teamsProactive problem solver who follows through independentlyIf you are a motivated accounting professional looking to grow your career in a hands-on, supportive environment, we encourage you to apply.
