The Town of The Blue Mountains is seeking an Urban Forestry and Natural Asset Management Specialist to enhance the sustainability of its rich natural resources. Bring your passion for the setting to this agile role in a scenic community.

You will report to the Manager of Parks and Trails while overseeing and coordinating urban forestry strategies. Your role will directly impact the overall health and management of municipal landscapes and forestry programs, working closely with community members and various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the town’s urban forestry initiatives and tree assessments
Develop tree management plans and stewardship programs
Coordinate with internal departments for effective project implementation




Facilitate community education and engagement programs
Evaluate tree inventory and recommend policy updates

Requirements:
ISA Certified Arborist level training
Degree in relevant fields like Urban Forestry or Ecology
Experience in municipal environmental management
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Knowledge of GIS technology for asset management
