Serve the public by becoming a Temporary Shunt Driver for the City of Kawartha Lakes in Lindsay, ON. Your main duties will involve transporting and maintaining Public Works vehicles efficiently and safely.

This full-time temporary position requires you to move vehicles and equipment for servicing while documenting all operations. You will also be engaged in hands-on tasks such as fueling vehicles and performing minor repairs. With responsibilities in both shop and outdoor environments, adaptability to weather changes is essential.

Key Responsibilities: • Assist in transporting Public Works vehicles and equipment • Operate dump trucks and towing equipment • Record maintenance and report outcomes electronically • Execute minor repair tasks and assist with winter maintenance • Maintain a clean workspace and manage storage

Requirements: • Secondary school diploma necessary • At least one year of relevant experience • Valid Ontario Class “A” Driver’s Licence with “Z” endorsement • Proven ability to conduct vehicle maintenance • Robust communication and teamwork skills
