This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to make a meaningful impact across a wide range of HR functions while serving as a trusted advisor to both leadership and employees.In this role, you will lead and support core HR activities, including talent acquisition and onboarding, labor relations and management, HR administration and compliance, and engagement and development initiatives. Acting as a proactive, solutions-focused resource, you’ll balance strategic priorities with hands‑on execution—ensuring compliance, strengthening collaboration, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.This position is perfect for the professional who values people, embraces change, and is eager to shape an exceptional employee experience while building a rewarding career path and making a lasting impact.Key Responsibilities & DutiesTalent Acquisition & OnboardingManage the internal hourly union job posting process, including tracking, and communication through the award/decline letters and related documentationLead external hourly union recruitment efforts in partnership with department supervisor.Manage the Temporary Part-Time (TPT) process by overseeing recruitment, scheduling, and maintenance of the candidate poolConduct orientation for specified salaried team membersLabour Relations & ComplianceLead internal investigations for all hourly union concerns, ensuring fairness and complianceServe as the primary contact for all Step 2 grievance meetings, fostering constructive dialog and resolutionReview and approve Coaching and Progressive Discipline Documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standardsProvide guidance and coaching to supervisors on performance management,



including documentation and disciplinary actions, to support leadership effectivenessBuild and maintain robust collaborative relationships with union representatives while ensuring adherence to the Collective AgreementHealth & Safety & Disability ManagementConsult with Health & Safety teams and attend committee meetingEngage in collaborative efforts to promote and reinforce Health & Safety goals and strategiesSupport non-occupational accommodation requests while ensuring alignment with company policies and a positive employee experienceManage all leaves of absence (LOA) for hourly union members, ensuring smooth processes and clear communicationCulture & EngagementActively participate in monthly Supervisor Connect meetings and capture key discussion points to support follow‑up and actionConduct Exit Interviews for hourly union employees, providing insights to enhance retention in the workplace cultureChampion employee engagement by supporting participation in incentive programs and initiatives that recognize and reward contributionHR Administration & CompliancePrepare termination letters for hourly union membersMaintain and monitor attendance programs to support workforce reliability and engagementGenerate monthly absenteeism Key Performance Indicator reports to track trends and drive improvementMonitor for accuracy in tracking probationary periods (75-day evaluations) and wage progression for union employees to ensure complianceReview and deliver monthly union reports with precision and consistencyCompile monthly communication content for accuracy and compliance, supporting clear and effective messagingMaintain Human Resources templates control log and uphold compliance with GMP and Health & Safety standards, reinforcing a safe and compliant workplaceWhat You BringYou bring curiosity, collaboration, and a desire to do meaningful work. You may bring experience in:Education: Successful completion of post-secondary education through an accredited institution, with focus in Human Resources requiredExperience: A Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience or progressive human resources experience is required, ideally within a manufacturing and unionized environmentStrong knowledge of HR best practices, labor relations, and employment legislationExceptional communication, collaboration, problem-solving,



and organizational skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentDemonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive informationProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); bilingualism is considered an assetDon’t meet all requirement?We still encourage you to apply.
