IT Service Desk Technician Assistant

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the IT Service Desk Manager, this position is responsible for providing front-line support to the St. Scholastica community for services provided by the Information Technologies department. This position clearly communicates solutions in a friendly and professional manner, while providing initial solutions to IT Services questions and requests.

This position provides excellent customer-service and technical assistance through written, telephone, video-conferencing, and in-person support.

Job Duties
Assist members of our community with varying technological backgrounds with technology questions and/or problems.
Respond to requests at the IT Service Desk.
Troubleshoot audio/video equipment and enterprise endpoint problems.
Triage, classify, and escalate or assign service requests appropriately using the IT Service Management systems.
Assist the IT Department in the deployment of IT assets such as audio/visual equipment, classroom equipment, and endpoint computing devices.





Required Qualifications
Must be a current or incoming CSS student.
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Have the ability to work on-campus. This is not a remote position.
Basic proficiency with up-to-date communication systems, such as chat, email, and web-conferencing.
Interest in technology and desire to learn more.
Availability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Robust work ethic and reliability.
Some night and weekend shifts may be required.

Preferred Qualifications
Customer Service or technical experience.
Skilled certifications.
Familiarity with a variety of operating systems and applications, such as Microsoft Windows, Apple iOS and Google Workspace.
