As a Cook, you will prepare and serve meals in a respectful setting, ensuring that all food production aligns with Canada’s Foodservice safety guidelines. Reporting to the Food Services Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the dietary needs of patients, especially in times of staff shortages.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve meals for patients and cafeteria
• Follow guidelines for food safety and infection control
• Ensure trays match patient dietary needs accurately
• Deliver food to patients when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of cooking experience
• Cooking certificate or “Red Seal” designation
• Willingness to obtain a Food Secure Certificate
• Familiarity with therapeutic diets and allergens
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
