Become the Senior Fire Chief for Whitby, driving impactful emergency services and community education through leadership. This hybrid role combines public safety with strategic development. In the role of Fire Chief, you'll report to the CAO and be responsible for leading all divisions within Whitby Fire & Emergency Services.

Your focus will be on delivering excellent customer service while ensuring effective budget management and emergency preparedness. The position involves compliance with fire service regulations and a commitment to community safety and education. Key Responsibilities:
Direct all fire service operations with strategic insight
Maintain high standards for public education and emergency response




Lead training initiatives for fire service staff
Ensure adherence to relevant fire codes and regulations
Interface with senior leadership to meet municipal goals Requirements:
Degree/diploma in Fire Service, Public Administration, or related
12 years of experience in fire service required
5 years of senior-level experience in fire services
Required training credential from Ontario Fire College
CEMC and ECFO designations preferred Elevate fire services in Whitby by providing exceptional leadership and strategic direction.
