The Mine Maintenance Electrician at Horizon Mine Maintenance – Shovels, is responsible for delivering safe, efficient and quality workmanship in the technical repair of mining shovels, trucks, graders and associated equipment.Job location:Horizon Site - Fort McMurray, AlbertaShift schedule : 7 x 7, 12-hour shift (Wednesday to Tuesday)Safety sensitive position:YesKey Accountabilities:Plan and provide safe and efficient workProvide leadership and performance feedback to team membersIdentify and secure resources required for planned tasks, such as parts, equipment, materials, special tools, and work procedures and work effectively with the mining team members to meet turnaround targets and minimize down time of critical parts and equipmentProvide technical assistance in troubleshooting of electrical equipment and ensure work is adequately documented in the work order system (E1)Collaborate with the planning group to scope out routine and major jobsIdentify recurring problems and documents so that an engineered solution can be providedWhat You Bring to the Role:Typically 5+ years of related industry experience with Alberta Journeyman Electrical Trade qualification or Inter-Provincial Electrical Trade CertificationFamiliarity with and understanding of:Working in the Oil and Gas industryElectric mining shovels, Electric haul trucks, power distribution systems and PLC control systemsHigh Voltage switching and troubleshooting trailing cables in an open pit applicationLow, medium and high voltage electrical equipmentL arge, powered motors,
