Cashier

Location: South End, Barrie
Pay Rate: $17.60/hour
Hours: 40–44 hours per week
Contract Duration: 4 months
Schedule: Day shifts with rotating weekends

Job Purpose

Provide excellent customer service and ensure a smooth and accurate checkout process for all customers.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service
Deliver outstanding customer service and engage positively with customers
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient checkout area
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
Accurately scan or manually enter items
Process cash, coupons, and other payments accurately
Respond to customer inquiries regarding product locations, returns, refunds, and rain checks

Operations & Merchandising
Ensure proper documentation is completed for receipts and returned merchandise
Report stock shortages or out-of-stock items to the appropriate team member

Loss Prevention & Cash Handling
Adhere to all loss prevention policies and procedures
Handle cash in accordance with company guidelines
Accurately count and return change to minimize discrepancies
Maintain the security of cash and merchandise at all times




Track and record all cheque payments received
