Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing in accordance with medical orders and pharmacy protocols
Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and placing orders for supplies as needed
Provide friendly and informative customer service to patients, answering questions about medications and pharmacy services
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication logs, and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations
Support medication administration processes by preparing doses for nurses or healthcare providers when applicable
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to safety standards, including proper storage of medicines and cleanliness
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to verify prescriptions and clarify medication instructions when necessary
Qualifications
Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable
Experience as a pharmacy technician or related role is preferred
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Passion for patient care with excellent communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is an advantage (Fillware)
Certification or training related to pharmacy assistance or technician roles is a plus
