Job Summary

We’re looking for a reliable and capable individual to help maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install agricultural irrigation systems (Pivots and pumps). If you take pride in hands-on work, enjoy solving problems, and value working independently in the field, we’d love to hear from you. If you are currently working in one of the following industries or trades, this may be a fit for you; Welding/metal fabrication, farming, construction, mechanical (Automotive, heavy duty, etc) .

The role is flexible, and can be molded to a candidate's strengths.

At A-1 we pride ourselves on providing a solid work/life balance and a pro-family environment. We don't work Sundays and only work select Saturdays during the irrigation season(April-July). Paid time off/vacation becomes available after probation (3 Months) because we believe time off with family is important.

Responsibilities
Install and maintain Pivots and pumps
Pipe fit recent installations
Form, pour, and finish concrete
Operate a variety of equipment (Bobcat/skidsteer, zoom boom/telehandler, knuckle picker, mini excavator, backhoe, truck and trailer)
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical irrigation systems

Requirements
Class 5 drivers license.
Spoken English must be robust
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
We do not a require a grade 12 education or GED for this position

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
