Protocol Sports Marketing Ltd., an international sports media rights distribution company, is continuing its rapid growth and is looking to add anAcquisitions Specialistto our team.We specialize in acquiring and distributing sports media rights to broadcasters and platforms around the world. As our business expands, we are creating a dedicated acquisitions function focused on identifying, evaluating, and securing new rights opportunities.The OpportunityThis is a hands‑on role where you will work directly with senior leadership to help shape and execute our acquisition strategy. You will be involved in sourcing opportunities, evaluating deals, and building relationships with rights holders globally.You won’t be one of many. You’ll bethe person driving this function .Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and source new sports media rights opportunities globally.Build and maintain relationships with leagues, federations, and rights holders.Evaluate potential acquisitions, including commercial viability and strategic fit.Support negotiation and deal structuring alongside senior leadership.Track market trends, rights cycles, and emerging properties.Collaborate with the sales team to align acquisitions with distribution strategy.Maintain internal documentation and pipeline tracking of opportunities.Represent the company in meetings, calls, and industry events (as required), including international trade shows.Other duties as required.Core Qualifications2–5 years of experience in sports media, broadcasting,



or a related field.Exposure to media rights, programming, content acquisition, or partnerships.Strong understanding of the sports media landscape.Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Self‑starter with the ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment.Comfortable taking initiative and working with limited structure.Ideal CandidateCurrently working at a large media company (e.G., broadcaster, network, or platform) and looking for more ownership and impact.Commercially curious: you think about why a deal makes sense, not just what it is.Confident communicator who can engage with external partners professionally.Ambitious and motivated by growth opportunities.Entrepreneurial mindset: you’re excited by building something, not just maintaining it.Passion for sports and media is essential!Compensation & StructureSalary:$60,000 – $70,000 CAD, based on experience.Full time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM).In-office role (midtown Toronto).Why Protocol?We offer a true entrepreneurial environment where strong performers are given real responsibility and room to grow.
