East City Medical Centre is a family medicine and walk-in clinic in Peterborough. We are looking for a part time Medical Office Assistant who is certified in phlebotomy, injections and first aid.

This starts as a part time position. There is room to increase the hours over time for the right person, as you take on more of the work.

Duties
Reception: greet and check in patients, answer phones, book appointments, manage the walk-in flow.
Patient intake: verify health cards, record the reason for visit and vitals.
EMR (TELUS CHR): chart preparation, scanning and filing, fax and referral handling.
Clinical support as delegated by the physician: blood collection, injections and vaccines, specimen handling.
General clinic duties: keep rooms stocked and tidy, opening and closing tasks.

Requirements
Phlebotomy / venipuncture certificate
Injection administration certificate
Standard First Aid with CPR/AED (Level C),

Medical Office Assistant diploma or related clinic experience
Available weekdays and some Saturdays
Legally entitled to work in Canada

Schedule: weekdays and some Saturdays. In person at the clinic, 4-880 Armour Road, Peterborough.
