The hourly pay range for this position is C$25. per hour - C$32. per hour.Working HoursThe working hours for this Position are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.Key PurposeThe Maintenance Technician supports the safe and reliable operation of all building systems. They provide support for HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems and infrastructure.The role is responsible for delivering corrective maintenance solutions, while also performing preventive maintenance activities and scheduled inspections to ensure all building systems operate safely and within regulatory compliance.This hands-on position responds to service requests and takes immediate action to resolve equipment breakdowns. This role ensures that all managed utilities and building systems meet operational specifications, documenting all actions taken.This position oversees the work of contractors to ensure work is completed safely and sufficiently while keeping the building operator, site operations manager, business stakeholders, and end users updated. and escalatorsExperienced in LOTO safety lockout practices and safe maintenance proceduresSkills & KnowledgeAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsFunctional knowledge of fire protection and life safety systemsAbility to use hand tools and maintenance shop equipment safelyCapable of performing physically demanding tasks safelyFamiliarity with CMMS systems or the ability to learnCertifications or TrainingCanadian Red Seal certification in one of the following areas: Appliance Service Technician, Carpenter, Drywall Finisher and Plasterer, Plumber, or Painter and Decorator.A certificate in facilities would be a plusKey AccountabilitiesDemonstrates accountabilities for all repairs and PMs completedOversee onsite contractor activity, escalating needs when necessaryBe willing to grow and develop skills to support ongoing business needsMaintain clean shops and general workspace, ensuring spaces are organizedPerform other duties as assigned by management to support operations and businessPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
