About the Role Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join their specialized Oncology Unit in Kimberley . This vital role involves providing expert care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout their journey. You will administer chemotherapy, manage treatment side effects, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, specialists, and support staff. Key Responsibilities Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments according to physician orders and safety protocols.
Monitor patients closely for treatment side effects and adverse reactions, intervening as necessary.
Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, side effects, and symptom management.
Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments, care plans, and treatment documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, social workers,



and other members of the oncology team to ensure holistic patient care.
Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout their treatment experience.
Requirements Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical or surgical nursing, with a preference for oncology experience.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and management of oncology-related symptoms.
Excellent communication, empathy, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment in Kimberley .
