We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Specialist to lead sales efforts, drive new sales development, and ensure exceptional customer service. Our client is an expanding food company looking to grow their team to develop new retail business as well as manage key accounts for their RTE product line. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees.

What we are looking for you to do:

Development and execution of a retail sales strategic plan, focusing on Eastern Canada.

Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the retail strategy.

Sales forecasting, pipeline management, order processing, pricing, and contract negotiations.

Coordinate and assist with the execution of the Retail strategies – identify potential retail targets across Eastern Canada.

Build stronger relationships with existing clients to increase sales and market recent products.

Define sales objectives, strategies, and targets.





Meet with customers, identifying opportunities and collecting customer and competitor information.

Participate in various trade events as a company representative.

Become an expert on the product line and the market, providing intelligence in both areas to the company.

Full cycle business development initiatives which include cold calling and prospecting.

The experience we are looking for:

5+ years retail sales experience in the ready to eat food industry required.

Experience working with full cycle business development; both branded and private label product. A hunter role!

Clean criminal record and driver’s abstract.
