JOURNEYMAN HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC – RED DEER (RDC)
The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical workings of all vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities

Read diagrams/schematics for work procedures

Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery in a protected manner

Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment

Service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform other routine maintenance work

Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations

Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced operators, or apprentice maintenance personnel

Operate a service truck to support field operations

Experience & Skills:





Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (or) Journeyman Millwright certification is required

CVIP is considered an asset

Valid Class 1 license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5

Heavy Equipment Technician will be an asset

Safe driving skills: driver’s abstract will be requested

Physically fit – heavy lifting required

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
