Rehoboth Medical Clinic is seeking a motivated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our growing primary-care team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with supervising physicians and clinic staff to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a physician and within the approved scope of practice, the Clinical Assistant will:
Obtain medical histories and conduct patient assessments
Perform appropriate physical examinations
Formulate clinical impressions and contribute to patient management plans
Manage common medical conditions, illnesses and injuries in collaboration with the supervising physician
Order or review investigations as authorized
Provide patient education and preventive health counselling
Assist with minor procedures, including wound care and suturing, where appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Support the efficient delivery of clinical services and continuity of patient care

Position Details
Full time position
Six- to eight-hour shifts
Weekday and occasional weekend shifts




Availability on statutory holidays may occasionally be required

Requirements
Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Clinical Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
Eligible to practise under an approved supervising physician and practice description
Solid clinical assessment and documentation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently within the authorized scope of practice and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy clinical setting
Commitment to providing respectful and compassionate care to patients and families
Experience using an electronic medical record system is an asset
