Empower youth as a Community Youth Counsellor with the John Howard Society of Ottawa. This full time role involves mobile community outreach and delivering cutting-edge programs designed for at-risk youth. This full-time contract position focuses on community services aimed at youth intervention through four key programs.

You will support the Non-Residential Attendance Centre, On Point, Diversion Services, and Choices School-Based Program. The successful candidate must possess a degree and have at least 2 years of experience with vulnerable populations, particularly youth in challenging circumstances. Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate structured group interventions for youth
Support youth in achieving goals through innovative strategies




Collaborate with community partners to enhance client outcomes
Deliver programs in educational and community settings
Maintain compliance with youth justice system initiatives Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in social services or criminal justice
Minimum 2 years of experience with youth justice
Proficient in both English and French (asset)
Understanding of mental health and substance use issues
