Reporting to the plant manager, the individual will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the quality management system. They will oversee product quality by managing non-conformities and corrective actions. They will work closely with Quality and R&D; laboratory technicians as well as the plant management team.

* Travel will be required to Drummondville, QC once a month for approximately 6 months for training.

THE CHALLENGES WE HAVE FOR YOU

Coordinate and perform quality testing;

Make necessary decisions during quality inspections (release, quarantine, or disposition);

Manage and follow up on non-conformities;

Coordinate preventive and corrective actions related to non-conformities;

Maintain the ISO 9001 quality management system;

Ensure that the quality management system is established, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved in accordance with internal standards;

Manage and continuously improve the quality documentation system;

Maintain quality databases and prepare monthly quality performance reports (quality indicators);

Manage raw materials (non-conformity management, testing support, specification file initiation, claims, supplier communication);

Meet with stakeholders involved in the quality process (suppliers, buyers, etc.);





Participate in and/or represent the plant during internal and external quality audits (within other SOPREMA divisions as well as at supplier sites).

Participate in improving production performance;

Collaborate in the evaluation of suppliers;

Ensure the proper functioning of laboratory equipment and manage the calibration program;

Perform any other related duties.

THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Your Education :

College diploma in chemistry or another related field.

Your Knowledge

Minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory science;

Experience with polymers (an asset);

Knowledge of the ISO 9001 standard (essential);

Proficiency in Microsoft Office;

Fluency in spoken and written English and French.

Your Skills and Attributes :
