Administrative and Warehouse Assistants
Competition TEMP2026:20
Full-time or part-time, temporary from 2-6 months
Applicants internal to the BC Public Service - temporary appointment to Clerk 10 – 15 (depending on position)
Applicants external to the BC Public Service - hired under the Election Act - $29.94 - $34.28 per hour depending on position (plus bi-weekly compensation allowance for health and welfare)

Elections BC is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for future temporary administrative opportunities. These opportunities may range from approximately two to six months in duration, depending on operational needs. Positions may be located in either our Victoria or Saanichton offices.
Successful applicants may be considered for current and future opportunities that align with their skills and experience. Event-focused positions generally require secondary school graduation (or equivalent), experience working in a fast-paced environment, and a positive, flexible approach. Available positions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Information Data Processor
Supports the production and maintenance of voter information and address register data
Provides clerical support for the Geography and Voter Data work unit
Participates in various information analysis activities
Provides information and services to registered voters
Provides clerical support for the Voter Services work unit
Responds to inquiries received through phone, voicemail, email, mail,
fax and visitors to the office
Provide front-line customer service and respond to inquiries by phone, email, and chat
Maintain and update voter registration information and process related information requests
Process, pack, and prepare materials and supplies for distribution
Manages IT hardware and software inventories
Provides Tier 1 service desk and front-line IT support
Ensures the effective functioning of accounting and payroll activities for temporary district electoral offices
Reviews and reconciles financial documents from district electoral offices
Supervises the provision of front line services to stakeholders
Resolves a variety of contact centre issues
Directs the production and maintenance of voter information and address registration data
Elections BC is the independent Office of the Legislature responsible for administering provincial elections in British Columbia. We also administer other events like referenda, and oversee campaign financing rules for local elections.
