As part of the Planning Services Division, you will handle tasks from reviewing development applications to facilitating public meetings. Your responsibilities will also include preparing legal documents and acting as an expert representative at hearings. This position requires solid urban planning skills and a commitment to effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and manage development planning applications • Review proposals and prepare official recommendations • Coordinate with internal and external agencies for planning issues • Attend public meetings and provide expert planning advice • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements: • Four to six years of urban planning experience • Membership in the Ontario Qualified Planners Institute • Registered Skilled Planner certification required • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships • Completion of Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training
