Responsibilities A typical shift as a cook's helper involves a mix of food prep, customer service at the counter, and kitchen maintenance.



These tasks are essential to keeping the Tim Hortons kitchen operating safely and efficiently throughout all hours of operation.
Place dishes in designated storage areas to keep the kitchen organised
Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
Package take‑out food accurately and efficiently for waiting customers
Prepare, heat and finish simple food items as needed during service
Serve customers at counters or buffet tables in a friendly, timely manner
Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain product availability
Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
Handle and store cleaning products safely and according to guidelines
Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
Remove kitchen garbage and trash as required
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to maintain cleanliness standards
Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit for food preparation
