We're recruiting for a forward-thinking accounting firm seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team.

You'll work with clients across industries including technology, energy, wellness, and professional services , while gaining exposure to modern accounting technology and AI-enabled workflows.

The Opportunity
Part time | 20–30 hours/week

$22–$28/hour

Flexible hybrid work model

Open to candidates across Canada

What You'll Be Doing

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple clients

Record and categorize transactions using QuickBooks Online and other accounting software

Complete bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations

Manage and review AP and AR records

Assist with payroll entries and reconciliations

Prepare GST/HST bookkeeping records and supporting documentation

Prepare month-end and year-end files, schedules, and supporting documentation

Identify discrepancies and follow up with clients to resolve outstanding items

Communicate directly with clients to obtain missing information

Support bookkeeping clean-up and catch-up engagements





Leverage technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy

What We're Looking For

2+ years of public accounting experience preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a North American university or college

CPA designation pursuit required

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with tax filings and a solid understanding of the CRA Tax Code

Experience with accounting and income tax software

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Tech-savvy, proactive approach to accounting and problem-solving
