The City of Port Colborne invites applications for the Winter Roads Labourer position, focused on the maintenance and construction of winter roads and safety services. This full time seasonal role offers $31.29 per hour from October 2026 until April 2027.

In this role, you will assist in essential winter control operations, which include traffic management, safety inspections, and maintaining effective communication within your team. Your skills will contribute to public safety and the upkeep of key municipal services during the winter months.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct winter control operations on municipal roads
• Install and remove necessary snow fencing
• Manage traffic effectively during winter weather
• Carry out safety inspections on tools and equipment
• Keep accurate logs of all service activities

Requirements:
• Minimum of 6 months experience in related field
• Valid DZ Endorsement Driver’s License required
• Knowledge of safe work practices is a must
• Ability to operate various hand tools and equipment
• Strong planning and organizational abilities
