Serve as a lifeline in crises with Northern911 as an Emergency Dispatch Specialist. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring quick and effective responses to emergencies.
At Northern911, you’ll play an essential part in responding to emergency calls, managing fire dispatches, and ensuring that help reaches those in need. This role focuses on sharp communication skills and the ability to remain calm, even during intense situations. You will be trained to operate advanced systems that facilitate rapid response.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming emergency calls and route to appropriate agencies
• Serve as secondary PSAP for emergency and fire calls
• Operate computer systems for effective communication
• Guide public interactions with professionalism and calmness
• Engage in training for continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Secondary School Diploma required
• Experience in emergency monitoring or customer service is beneficial
• Strong active listening and communication skills
• Typing capability of 20 words per minute
• Fluency in English and either French or Spanish
