Dawson College’s Centre for Training & Development is seeking instructors to teach new non-credit courses in cybersecurity. Courses are offered to small groups of adult learners, typically averaging 10-12 participants. Instructors are provided with a course outline identifying the topics and learning objectives to be covered and are expected to develop their own teaching materials, activities, and approach based on this framework.

Dawson College’s Centre for Training & Development is seeking instructors to teach new non-credit courses in cybersecurity. Courses are offered to small groups of adult learners, typically averaging 10-12 participants. Instructors are provided with a course outline identifying the topics and learning objectives to be covered and are expected to develop their own teaching materials, activities, and approach based on this framework.

These are non-credit professional development courses and do not involve formal grading.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and practical cybersecurity training to small groups of adult learners;





Prepare course materials and learning activities based on the course outline provided;

Explain technical cybersecurity concepts in a clear and accessible manner;

Create an interactive and supportive learning environment;

Collaborate with Continuing Education staff as needed regarding course delivery and participant needs.

Qualifications

Education, professional certification, or professional experience in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field;

Demonstrated professional knowledge and experience in cybersecurity;

Teaching, training, facilitation, or instructional experience, preferably with adult learners;

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English;

Ability to translate technical concepts into practical, accessible learning;

Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, cooperative approach;

Experience developing training or instructional materials is an asset.
