The role
Screening criteria
Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering would be considered an asset. Six Sigma black belt accreditation (or equivalent) would be considered an asset.

Extensive* experience in developing, maintaining and continuously improving formal Quality Systems (such as ISO9001:2008), preferably in a Research and Development (R&D;) and/or manufacturing environment. Extensive* experience in project planning and management.

Extensive* experience in project planning and management.

Experience in a semiconductor wafer processing environment would be considered an asset.

*Extensive experience is defined as more than seven (7) years of experience.

Condition of employment
Reliability Status. For a Reliability Status, verification of background information over a period of 5 years is required.

Candidates will be assessed on the basis of the following criteria:

Knowledge of ISO 9001 series of quality standards;





Knowledge of statistical process control, use of control charts, DOE and DFM methodologies;

Knowledge of MES and ERP systems;

Knowledge of cost engineering and supply chain management;

Knowledge of project management principles and practices;

Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and processes.

The intent of this hiring action is to staff this position at the RCO2 or RCO3 level, which is a mid-careerlevel position with a salary range of $83,985 to $139,608.

NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position).
