About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and authoritative Security Operations Center (SOC) Lead to oversee their security monitoring and incident response functions in Kimberley . This leadership position is responsible for managing the SOC team, ensuring the effective operation of security tools, and guiding the organization through complex security incidents. You will be instrumental in developing and refining SOC processes, staying ahead of emerging threats, and ensuring the continuous protection of the company's digital assets. This is a critical role for an experienced security professional looking to lead a high-performing team and make a significant impact on organizational security.
Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor the Security Operations Center (SOC) team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Oversee the monitoring of security alerts, event correlation, and incident detection using SIEM and other security technologies.
Develop, implement, and enforce SOC procedures, policies, and playbooks.
Manage security incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective containment, eradication, and recovery.




Analyze threat intelligence and proactively hunt for threats within the network environment.
Liaise with stakeholders, including IT management and business units, during incident response and reporting.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations , with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Deep understanding of SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other SOC tools and technologies.
Proven experience in incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability management.
Robust leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC certifications (e.g., GCIH, GCIA) are highly desirable.
