About the Role Our client is looking for a skilled and dependable Telecoms Field Technician to join their expanding installation and maintenance team serving the Kimberley area. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fibre optic networks and related telecommunications equipment at customer premises and network points. You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's services, providing excellent on-site support. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working independently in the field and possesses strong technical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, and repair fibre optic cables and associated equipment at customer locations and network infrastructure points.
Perform site surveys to assess installation requirements and identify potential challenges.
Troubleshoot and diagnose network connectivity issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
Ensure all installations are performed to company standards and industry best practices.
Maintain accurate records of work performed,



including installation details and test results.
Provide basic customer education on installed services and equipment.
Requirements Proven experience as a Fibre Optic Technician or similar role.
Strong understanding of fibre optic installation techniques, splicing, testing, and connectors.
Familiarity with telecommunications network infrastructure and equipment.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to schedules.
Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
