Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Facility Supervisor is responsible for supervising the operation, maintenance and scheduling of the Arena Staff. The Facility Supervisor is to ensure the users of the facility are provided with a safe and clean facility. The Facility Supervisor shall evaluate staff performance and conduct yearly evaluations, recommend staffing requirements, plan and organize work schedules, provide leadership, guidance and training to staff, ensure Health and Safety practices are observed, submit payments to the Finance office, monitors employee working hours and submits timesheets to Payroll and reports to the Director of Facilities.
Qualifications/Requirements: Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Standard / Intermediate First Aid and CPR C Certificate or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Possess Ontario Recreation Facilities Association Basic Refrigeration Certificate or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Possess Ontario Recreation Facilities Association Ice Making and Technologies Certificate or willingness to obtain with 16 months of hire.
Possess Ontario Recreation Facilities Association Ice Maintenance and Equipment Operations or willingness to obtain within 24 months of hire.
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience or equivalent.




Minimum 5 years’ experience working in an arena setting.
3 years’ experience working in an arena workplace.
3 years’ experience in operating an ice resurfacer.
3 years’ experience working with a refrigeration plant.
Experience in operating small hand tools.
Experience in operating ice maintenance equipment.
Experience in operating an ice resurfacer.
Experience in operating ice making equipment.
Valid Class “G” driver’s license and to provide clear drivers abstract.
Must submit a satisfactory C.P.I.C. with resume.
Duration: Permanent with 3 months probation
